About Me
I'm a retired senior citizen who loves to travel. Before 1991 I had only traveled in the US and Mexico plus one Caribbean cruise. We loved to go to the National Parks west of the Mississippi. Part of the time we lived in a 31 foot Airstream and traveled while our daughter was pre-school. Before my marriage to her father I had been an airline stewardess for nine years and travel was in my blood. After she started to school we settled down and I got my real estate license and persued a second career selling houses for 13 years. In the mid 90's I began traveling in earnest. My first trip to Europe was so exciting. We were gone 58 days and saw 15 countries. Since then I've been to 6 continents, 70 countries + many islands belonging to different countries around the world. I've enjoyed 13 ocean cruises including a 62 day cruise of Asia & the S. Pacific. Also there have been five river and island cruises. People often ask me what my favorite trip was and I find it hard to pick. Each place has been a fantastic experience. I'm always yearning to seek out new places and cultures to explore. Even disasters are treasured memories, such as capsizing in the Urabamba River in Peru, falling flat on my face in Tokyo, having a bad case of "turista" at the Taj Mahal in India. I'm currently trying to interest people to go on a cruise of the Dalmatian Coast with me in 2009. In addition to Greece and Croatia where I have been, I'll get to add Albania, Montenegro, and Slovenia to the countries I've visited. And while I have walked across the Cornith Canal bridge, this time we will cruise through the canal. Should be an exciting 19 days. Since I lost my husband in 2004 I don't have a travel buddy and am always looking for one.. Want to join me on a fabulous adventure? Post a Comment1 Comment
Hello, Jerry. Wow, you are one spirited lady. We love to travel too but have been traveling up and down our own country so far. Someday I wish to see Greece, Spain and France.
